The County of San Diego has established an emergency rental assistance program to assist tenants who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 with rental assistance. Eligible tenants may qualify for up to $3,000 in rental assistance. This program is intended to assist San Diego residents who are not currently receiving any other forms of rental subsidy, such as Section 8 or other rental assistance programs, rapid rehousing assistance, or rental assistance from non-profit agencies.
Applications for the County of San Diego’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program can be submitted between September 24, 2020 – October 8, 2020.
Applications will be selected for funding through a random selection process.
If you are a landlord with tenants financially impacted by COVID-19 and need rental assistance, please have them visit for more information on the program and how to apply.
