Hi, my name is Melissa Garback and I teach 4th grade at Naranca Elementary School. I attended San Diego State University where I received a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In 2016, I graduated for a third time from San Diego State University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching. 

This year is my 9th year teaching in Cajon Valley and my 7th year teaching 4th grade Reading and Writing at Naranca. I love being a 4th grade teacher and watching my students grow each year. 

As a teacher, my number one priority is building relationships with my students. Another one of my top priorities is providing students with access to a variety of books to ensure student choice and cultivate a students love of reading. I also believe in the importance of integrating technology with hands on skills in order to create a well balanced student.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy attending and watching baseball and football games. Go Padres and Go Eagles! I also enjoy spending time with my husband and friends in various places throughout San Diego.
