Hi! My name is Sarah Quintero and I am a kindergarten teacher at Naranca Elementary.  I have been fortunate to be teaching 10 years at such a wonderful school! I received my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I also earned my Masters Degree from San Diego State University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching.  

One of my favorite things about teaching kindergarten is having the opportunity to build a love of reading in early readers. I hope all students gain a love of books and stories in my classroom and are able to carry it with them throughout their education. Using children’s literature to build self-esteem, positive peer-relationships and social skills, while also engaging them to a world of new learning is very special. Kindergarten is a wonderful place to be!

When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family.  We love to spend the days swimming, camping, watching sporting events and being outdoors enjoying the sunshine here in San Diego.
